John P. Wymer

The John P. Wymer Photograph Collection consists of about 4000 images of Washington, D.C. taken by John P. Wymer from 1948 to 1952. Wymer divided the District into 57 areas of approximately one mile square each and photographed sample blocks. His photographs capture local neighborhood scenes as well as important buildings, landmarks, and parks.
